A New Opportunity in IT Support

We are seeking an experienced IT Support and Network Engineer to join our team. This role is based in our Manchester office and requires living within a commutable distance. Occasional domestic/international travel to remote offices is also involved.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of our IT systems across Destination Sport Group through proactive and reactive measures. Key duties include:

  • Maintaining desktop estates across all sites and resolving incidents related to desktop/laptop builds, Azure Active Directory, automated software deployment, print management, Office 365/Exchange Online, email/web filtering, asset management, network patching, remote site management, and system security.
  • Collaborating with the existing IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure security for office-based and remote workers, adhering to company IT policies aligned with ISO27001, BS10012, ISO22301, and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations.
  • Assisting with confidential information handling by setting appropriate file permissions.
  • Verifying Microsoft 365, AD & AV setup according to company policy.
  • Supporting user education and disaster recovery/business continuity planning preparation.
  • Carrying out critical checks for proactive action against significant failures.
  • Acting as a key technical support for technical project delivery in both IT and business-driven projects, such as new technical solution rollouts, network link upgrades, and branch moves.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in a similar position within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for IT and a proven record in a commercial setting.
  • An understanding of IT risks and suitable mitigations.
  • A working knowledge of AV systems, Windows Server, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and IP.
  • Experience with Windows 10 system administration, Office 365, desktop imaging/Autopilot, and providing internal customer service in high-pressure situations.
  • The ability to multitask, ensuring technical requests are completed efficiently.
  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a wider team.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
