About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our Neuro and Stroke Team at Epsom Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Physiotherapy team to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for neuro patients within the acute inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Therapists in providing a high standard of therapy services to in-patients at Epsom Hospital.
  • Undertake duties to support the smooth functioning of the therapy departments and service.
  • Ensure stock levels of mobility aids are maintained and stock re-ordered in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee the organisation and maintenance of Therapy wheelchairs, hoists, and standing aids.
  • Treat patients with minimal or no immediate supervision, according to protocols and guidance.
  • Assist in the administration and clerical duties of the department.

  • Understanding of Occupational Therapy (OT).
  • Understanding of Physiotherapy (PT).
  • Desirable: Understanding of clinical conditions, NHS pressures, and experience of therapies.
