Acute Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our Neuro and Stroke Team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Assist qualified therapists in providing high-quality therapy services to in-patients in the acute inpatient setting.
- Support the smooth functioning of the therapy departments and services.
- Maintain and order stock levels of mobility aids in a timely fashion.
- Oversee the organisation and maintenance of Therapy wheelchairs, hoists, and standing aids.
- Treat patients with minimal or no immediate supervision, according to protocols and guidance.
- Assist in the administration and clerical duties of the department.

Person Specification- Understanding of acute setting.
- Understanding of Occupational Therapy (OT).
- Understanding of Physiotherapy (PT).
- Desirable: Understanding of clinical conditions, NHS pressures, and experience of therapies.
- Essential: Communication Skills, Written Communication Skills, Team Working, and Compassion.
