Family Services Program Manager

Join the Commonwealth of Virginia team as a Family Services Specialist III, responsible for providing overall program management and coordination of the Clarke, Frederick, and Winchester (CFW) program.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review grant proposals and monitor program grants to ensure compliance with prescribed policy, procedures, and operating standards.
- Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of clients and the community.
- Coordinate agency and community resources and programs to improve service delivery.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of professional, clerical, and volunteer personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, community, and other agencies to improve program and outreach service delivery.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, or other guidelines related to assigned program area.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Considerable knowledge of social work principles and practices, human behavior and motivational theory, laws, policies, and regulations relating to human services program areas.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial principles and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to develop and implement service plans to ensure the delivery of appropriate services to clients.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or a Bachelor's degree in any field and minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in a Human Services area.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
- Considerable experience in assigned program area and completion of required training programs or equivalent combination of training and experience.
