Job Summary:

Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger Manager to join our client's team in a temporary capacity. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in overseeing purchase ledger operations and leading a team to ensure smooth financial processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee the entire purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing and payments.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the purchase ledger team, setting objectives and reviewing performance.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement robust purchase ledger systems and procedures.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment runs.
  • Query Resolution: Handle complex queries from suppliers and internal departments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports related to accounts payable.
  • Process Optimization: Work closely with other departments to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger Manager role or similar.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and purchase ledger processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Location: Must be within commutable distance to the client's location.
  • Availability: Available to start work immediately and commit to full-time hours.
