Watsham Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at an engineering firm in Haywards Heath.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing purchase invoices and making payments to suppliers and subcontractors in a timely manner.
This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Entering supplier invoices into the system
- Three-way matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes, and resolving any discrepancies
- Managing multicurrency invoices and payments
- Ensuring invoices due for payment are processed and approved on the system
- Responding to supplier and subcontractor queries via phone and email
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparing payment runs for approval by the Finance Director
- Setting up new suppliers and subcontractors on the COINS system
- Reconciling multiple bank accounts
- 3+ years of Purchase Ledger experience
- Three-way matching and GRN'ing experience preferred, but not essential
- Multi-currency experience preferred, but not essential
- Local candidate able to attend the office 5 days a week
- Competitive annual salary of £35,000 - £37,000
