Conveyancing Secretary Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Conveyancing Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to our conveyancing department. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth and efficient transaction process, providing exceptional support to our conveyancers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist conveyancers with all aspects of residential property transactions, including preparing and managing legal documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and paper based, to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct property searches and manage deadlines to ensure timely completions, working under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
  • Organize meetings, appointments, and coordinate schedules for conveyancers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in conveyancing, with a strong understanding of property law and conveyancing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction.
