About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics Department. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving performance excellence and ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Job Responsibilities

  • \
  • Provide business and managerial support to the General Manager, focusing on achieving activity, quality, and financial objectives.\
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure patients receive treatment within NHS waiting times, managing key performance indicators and national standards.\
  • Deputise for the General Manager as required, providing leadership and direction to departmental teams.\
  • Manage staff line reports, ensuring accurate information recording and implementation of agreed actions to meet targets.\
  • Perform audits and coordinate projects, utilizing excellent planning and organizational skills to prioritize workload effectively.\
  • Contribute to the formulation of business cases to support service developments, collaborating with the General Manager.\

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a similar role within the NHS, with a focus on operational management and performance improvement.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.\
  • Strong knowledge of NHS structures, policies, and procedures, particularly regarding waiting list systems and medical staffing issues.\
  • Ability to manage confidential information and maintain professional boundaries.\
  • Knowledge of PAS systems and experience with data analysis and reporting.\
