Job Title: Head of Service for Community Hospitals

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Service to lead our community hospitals and ensure the safe and effective operational management of our services.

As Head of Service, you will be responsible for the timely access and discharge pathways, and the delivery of high-quality, person-centred evidence-based care. You will manage and lead the Community Hospital nursing, admin and operational teams, and be responsible for the performance of the service, monitoring KPIs, delivering service improvement and cost-efficiencies.

Requirements
  • 3 years' experience at Senior Management level within the NHS, with evidence of applying national policy locally and involvement in effective strategic planning and development.
  • Experience of remodelling and restructuring services within the NHS.
  • Expertise, knowledge and experience of strategic management within a healthcare organisation, including clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
