About this opportunity

We have opportunities for Production Engineers to support our end-of-line operations at Botcherby, one of Crown's biggest plants in Europe. The successful candidate will work on a continental-based shift rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off. This pattern offers an outstanding work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the quality standard of products on all machines in your area, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimum spoilage.
  • Make process and tooling adjustments as necessary, while monitoring line production continually and recording results.
  • Identify and procure spare parts as required, and have the capability to manufacture necessary parts in the event of a shortage.
  • Deliver planned preventive maintenance support and maintain good machine and plant housekeeping standards.
  • Support on-the-job training for new starters, apprentices, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • A commitment to health and safety.
  • A drive for continuous improvement.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £55,539.94 per annum, including a shift premium. Additional benefits include a performance-related pay scheme, 9% company pension contribution, private medical scheme, health cash plan, and subsidised dental care.
