This role provides critical support to all aspects of working at Climate Action, encompassing recruitment, HR management, administration, facilities management, event coordination, travel arrangements, communications, and company operations.

Main Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Ownership of new vacancies, from crafting job specifications to placement.
  • Extensive experience in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Designing and executing effective recruitment strategies, managing the full recruitment cycle, and leveraging various tools and platforms.

HR Management:

  • Demonstrated expertise in UK HR framework, with a solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Supporting line management during induction and probation periods for new employees.
  • Providing day-to-day HR support on performance management, employee relations, salary planning, and employee engagement.
  • Managing the HR database and employee folders.
  • Completing all HR-related administration.
  • Overseeing outsourced payroll and pension scheme administration.
  • Consulting with external advisors to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Team Wellbeing:

  • Supporting the delivery and implementation of team-building initiatives, company benefits, and policies (flexi-time, private healthcare, coaching, and mentoring).
  • Working closely with the management team to drive change and champion employee wellbeing.
  • Organizing quarterly offsite events and the Christmas party.
  • Fostering positive work relationships, improving morale, increasing productivity, and enhancing retention.

Office Management:

  • Identifying and implementing ways to optimize business operations, serving as a liaison between the business and property management company regarding lease renewal, insurance policies, equipment maintenance, supplies, invoices, and billing.

This role requires a professional with at least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in recruitment, HR, and office management roles, preferably with managerial experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in managing employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and implementing effective HR practices.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated annual salary: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
