About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our UK team, specializing in sales for our CUK Engines.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a global power leader, driving business growth and achieving targets in the engine maritime industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Market Segment Identification: Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize high-potential segments and products.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Gather and analyze data to support strategic decisions and drive business growth.
- Customer Engagement: Attend industry events to gain insights into market trends and customer needs, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and prospect local business opportunities and target accounts, utilizing strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively.
- Account Planning and Relationship Building: Develop and support account plans, maintaining business relationships and driving revenue growth.
- Business Proposal Development: Contribute to new business proposals with tailored solutions, communicating emerging needs and trends to shape sales strategy.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Effective Communication: Deliver clear messages across platforms and build strong customer relationships, leveraging excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic and Analytical Skills: Conduct market research, analyze data, and develop pricing strategies to drive business growth and achieve targets.
- Sales and Market Expertise: Communicate product strengths, understand industry dynamics, and integrate customer feedback to inform sales strategy.
- Adaptability and Relationship Management: Tailor communication, manage sales pipelines, and develop account strategies to drive revenue growth and maintain strong relationships.
Requirements
- A college degree in marketing, sales, technical, or a related subject is required; an acceptable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the engine maritime industry is required.
- Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving business targets in the marine sector is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively are critical to success in this role.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills are necessary to manage multiple projects and teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is often preferred.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
