About the Role

The Localization Editor is a key member of our editing team, working closely with other localization editors, translators, and project coordinators to ensure the highest quality of video games and related materials in the Spanish language for the LATAM market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Editing of various computer games-related materials, such as in-game text, templates, packaging, press releases, and marketing materials, to adapt to the LATAM audience.
  • Overseeing the QA process for computer games and implementing changes as needed, with a thorough knowledge of the games being localized.
  • Editing grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and language-specific slang to ensure consistency and high standards.
  • Ensuring the use of terminology and style is consistent across all materials.
  • Reviewing, revising, and proofing all video game-related content.
  • Leading and supporting projects as required.
  • Collaborating with other languages to maintain high standards across all languages.
  • Supporting translators and coordinators as needed.
  • Reporting progress to in-house management.
Requirements
  • Three to four years of related professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to multitask various projects simultaneously.
  • Team worker with near-native level language skill of Spanish and fluent English language skill.
  • Knowledge of local culture for the Spanish language is required.
  • Previous experience in the gaming industry is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing specialized technical programs to edit files is essential.
  • Experience with Word and Excel is required, with the ability to learn new programs.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with unpredictable schedules and tight deadlines.
