Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home Support Worker. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support services to families with autism and health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, tailoring support to meet the unique needs of each family member.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to family members, promoting a sense of security and stability.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and therapists to ensure seamless integration of services and promote optimal outcomes.
Person Specification:
  • A deep understanding of autism and its impact on daily life, with experience in supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building trust and rapport with family members and healthcare professionals.
  • A calm and patient demeanor, remaining composed in high-stress situations and advocating for family members' rights and dignity.
Compensation Package:
  • The hourly rate for this position is £11.68, reflective of the industry standard for home support workers.
  • The working hours will be discussed further at the interview, typically ranging from 8-12 hours per week.
  • The annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to 5.6 weeks of work, allowing staff to recharge and pursue personal interests.
  • Free Care Skills training will be provided to employed staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with autism and health needs.
  • The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, ensuring the safety and well-being of all family members.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees will be required, demonstrating the applicant's suitability for the role.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months is expected, allowing staff to settle into the role and adapt to the family's needs.
