About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Development Scientist to join our team at Puraffinity. As a key member of our process development team, you will play a crucial role in translating chemical processes from the lab to full-scale production.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and perform experiments to enhance understanding of reaction chemistry and optimize manufacturing processes.
  2. Liaise with in-house manufacturing teams to ensure integration of process development chemistry, optimizing production efficiency and maintaining process control.
  3. Collaborate with third-party manufacturers to provide chemistry insights and support process development.
  4. Work closely with analytical scientists to ensure product quality and reproducibility and to investigate reaction monitoring processes where applicable.
  5. Embed process chemistry considerations in new material development projects.
  6. Design and conduct experiments to assess the impact of process parameters on product quality and establish the tolerances of these parameters.
  7. Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines, writing necessary documentation like COSHH forms and risk assessments.
