Hobson Prior is seeking a skilled Process Development Scientist/Engineer to join our Manufacturing Sciences and Technology team. This role will focus on developing processes for the manufacturing of novel gene therapies, requiring a solid understanding of chemical and biological processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize processes for the recovery and purification of DNA and AAV.
  • Scale up and transfer lab-scale operations to in-house production facilities.
  • Improve process understanding and knowledge to ensure reproducibility and robustness.
  • Support manufacturing operations with new process implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Drive innovation and challenge conventional assumptions.
  • Use analytical tools to generate comprehensive data and identify optimization opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of engineering principles for scaling up and down of bioprocess operations.
  • Understanding of GMP and QbD considerations in large-scale manufacturing environments.
