Job Title: Buyer & Operational Manager Fresh Produce - Fruit and Veg

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Buyer & Operational Manager to join our team at Trinity Resource Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing fresh produce from wholesale markets, managing client deliveries, and overseeing the operational management of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wholesale Purchasing: Visit wholesale markets and suppliers to source and purchase fresh produce at competitive prices. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Client Deliveries: Complete client deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate service to clients. Act as a cover driver to support sickness or holiday cover if needed.
  • Operational and Warehouse Management: Assist with receiving deliveries at the workplace yard, checking products for quality and quantity. Communicate with management and the inventory team to ensure stock levels are sufficient to fulfill orders.
  • Administrative Support: Keep accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and stock levels. Provide input on purchasing and inventory management strategies to reduce costs and wastage.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work well with a diverse range of people and show the skillset to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and computer literacy that enables the individual to operate internal software packages, as well as industry-specific purchase order software.
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a wholesale market environment with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes of produce (manual handling required).
