Job Title: Fresh Produce Buyer and Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fresh Produce Buyer and Operations Manager to join our team at Trinity Resource Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing fresh produce from wholesale markets, managing client deliveries, and overseeing the operational management of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wholesale Purchasing: Visit wholesale markets and suppliers to source and purchase fresh produce at competitive prices. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Client Deliveries: Complete client deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate service to clients. Act as a cover driver to support sickness or holiday cover if needed.
  • Operational and Warehouse Management: Assist with receiving deliveries at the workplace yard, checking products for quality and quantity. Communicate with management and the inventory team to ensure stock levels are sufficient to fulfill orders.
  • Administrative Support: Keep accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and stock levels. Provide input on purchasing and inventory management strategies to reduce costs and wastage.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a wholesale market environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Valid and clean UK driver's license and experience with delivery driving (preferably with vans).
