Job Description:

The Sterling Choice is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead the reliability and maintenance strategy across our manufacturing facility. This critical role involves creating and implementing proactive maintenance programs, identifying and resolving equipment issues, and optimizing asset utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure effective use of engineering resources, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food safety regulations.
  2. Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontract labor as required.
  3. Develop contingencies and implement corrective measures to resolve repeat occurrences of reactive faults.
  4. Implement planned preventative maintenance activities according to schedules and identify areas where schedules cannot be maintained.
  5. Ensure 24/7 maintenance coverage across the week.
  6. Monitor and control overtime within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering) or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry or a related sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance planning, and asset management strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities with a track record of building high-performing teams.
