Part-Time Social Worker: Enhancing Community Support

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic social worker to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch. This permanent, part-time position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality community support services.

  • The role involves working closely with patients who require support to increase their engagement in their local communities.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide extended assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation following an admission to the adult acute service.
  • The position requires a strong focus on teaching skills to support illness management and help consumers live their desired life. Additionally, the candidate must be able to support integration into the community and develop strong relationships with community providers.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
