Primary Care Diabetes Nurse Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our national team at Connaught Resourcing. The successful candidate will be working in primary care settings, conducting clinics and providing expert care to patients with Type 2 diabetes.
As a key member of our team, your main responsibilities will include optimising the oral therapy of sub-optimally controlled patients, conducting point-of-care testing, and referring specialist insulin treatment where necessary. You will also be expected to exercise corporate nursing responsibilities and work in a proactive manner to identify patients who require additional support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diabetes management, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in primary care. They should also possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency in primary care systems, and a full driving licence. Current NMC registration is essential for this role.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
* Conduct clinics and provide expert care to patients with Type 2 diabetes
* Optimise the oral therapy of sub-optimally controlled patients
* Conduct point-of-care testing and refer specialist insulin treatment where necessary
* Exercise corporate nursing responsibilities
* Work proactively to identify patients who require additional support
Compensation and Benefits:
* Competitive annual salary of £45,000
* Annual bonus incentive scheme worth up to 10% of annual salary
* Car allowance or company car (depending on contract) + fuel card for business miles
