Tender Response Specialist

Dalcour Maclaren is a leading consultancy working on diverse projects in Utilities and Infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled Tender Response Specialist to support our teams in delivering high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review procurement portals and report on Contracts Advance outputs and forecasting of new tender opportunities.
  • Regularly review portal coding's/categories to ensure capturing full range of DM services.
  • Assess new tender portals/emails for relevance to DM teams.
  • Work with Sector teams on tender responses to ensure agreed timelines and deliverable outputs.
  • Manage bid library/TenderBot inputs and create '1st draft' of tender responses.
  • Review and summarise tender scope and requirements, drafting tender deliverables for initial Bid Manager review.
  • Own compliance question responses to ensure timely business services responses for PQQ's and ITT's.
  • Review time entries for tenders to understand and report on costs of responding to individual tenders.
  • Manage DM CV's to ensure most recent and relevant DM CV's are put forward for respective tender responses.
  • Review tender clarifications responses and advise tender team of pertinent responses changing scope/original tender question requirements.
  • Report and provide analysis on tender outcome statistics for continual improvement of tender responses and success rate.
  • Support key stakeholders in developing a team of people proficient in producing tender responses and understanding tender processes.
  • Format and enhance tender responses.
  • Submit Expressions of Interest following individual business decision and monitor portals for updated information.
  • Populate bid systems/spreadsheets with relevant information for tracking and report production.
  • Liaise with cross-functional departments to ensure knowledge is up to date and accurate information is supplied in all responses.
  • Manage mini bid processes and lead on smaller, less complex tenders.
  • Undertake research using portal and websites to propose individual client opportunity 'win themes' for related tenders.
  • Work closely with Bid Manager to ensure proposal responses contain innovative solutions demonstrating capability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience within a bid support role.
  • Creative and bold, with innovative ideas for bids and presentations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project coordination abilities, including supporting multiple bids concurrently.
  • Critical eye and passion for supporting the delivery of the best possible bids.
  • Ability to support teams and Bid Manager to ensure all meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in use of bid portals and Microsoft Office Suite.
