Your Role: Care Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Castleholme Lodge in Huddersfield. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to our service users.

Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and support to service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • To participate in ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support.
  • To assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
  • To maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service user interactions, including medication administration and medical procedures.
  • To communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant healthcare field (e.g., nursing, psychology, social work).
  • Proven experience working in a mental health setting, preferably with individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality care and support, adhering to professional standards and codes of conduct.
