Job Title: Part-Time KS2 Primary School Teacher

Location: Christchurch

Salary: Paid to Teacher Scale (MPS/UPS)

Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced primary school teacher to join our team as a part-time Key Stage 2 class teacher. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and teaching strategies, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE)
  • Solid knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Previous experience in a primary school (placements during training considered)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for nurturing young minds

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and teaching engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of primary school students
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and focused learning atmosphere
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback to students and their parents
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to enhance student development and well-being
