About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher or Tutor to join our team at Young Giants Ltd. As a managed education service, we provide holistic and inclusive term-time tuition and mentoring to children who are temporarily out of school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one tuition and mentoring to learners with special and additional educational needs in the Guildford area.
  • Work closely with our team to assess and maintain effective and needs-based programmes of education support.
  • Develop and implement creative alternatives to traditional schooling, prioritizing the academic development and re-engagement of learners.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure consistency and quality in education provision.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or strong youth work experience/qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching or mentoring learners with SEND in schools, youth groups, or private settings.
  • Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or willingness to have one carried out at a cost of £53.20.
  • Commitment to fixed termly timetables without missing lessons due to outside commitments.
  • Ability to travel to the Guildford area.
  • Secure understanding of safeguarding.
