Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Archivist Collection Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in cataloguing our extensive archive collections onto Calm to ISAD(G) standards, making them fully accessible to the public for the first time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, reviewing, prioritising, and cataloguing our exciting collections to optimise their visibility and accessibility. They will work closely with the Archivist and wider project team to establish a Cataloguing Forward Plan and provide input into the selection and use of archives for digitisation and engagement activities.
The ideal candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, and well-organised with a passion for cataloguing collections, as well as strong communication skills and an adaptable and flexible approach to their work. They will also be excited by the prospect of contributing to a significant NLHF funded project as part of a wider project team.
Key Responsibilities- Catalogue archive collections onto Calm to ISAD(G) standards
- Organise, review, prioritise, and catalogue collections to optimise visibility and accessibility
- Work closely with the Archivist and project team to establish a Cataloguing Forward Plan
- Provide input into the selection and use of archives for digitisation and engagement activities
- Experience in cataloguing archive collections
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work
