Claims Underwriter

Camberford Underwriting, a key part of Brown & Brown (Europe), is seeking a skilled Technical Underwriter to join their team on a 12-month contract.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Underwriting System, Technical underwriting guides, endorsements, referrals from the trading teams, conduct risk and underwriting technical controls.
- Focus on Underwriting quality, including assisting with conducting QA, large case/claim reviews and reviewing & updating exception reports.
- Contribute to group transformation project assisting migrating product specifications to build the product from a technical underwriting perspective supporting the wider technical team.
- Build and maintain relationships with all Camberford Teammates, and the wider group.
Work closely with the Technical team to:
- Ensure technical documentation is compliant with regulatory and binder requirements.
- Respond to internal referrals from Trading and Claims teammates.
- Assist in testing any changes made within our systems to ensure compliance.
- Assist with Data and MI analysis ready for the team to analyse, update and maintain performance reports for internal and external use to ensure we are hitting agreed targets.
Previous Underwriting experience is required to be considered for this role, ideally within the Commercial or Property sectors.
This role requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance and underwriting principles, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
