We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a specialist in clinical health psychology, you will be working closely with patients and their families to provide expert psychological support and guidance.

About the Role

This is a permanent position that involves working with adult burn patients, children, and their families who have experienced burn injuries or are under the care of the plastic surgery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical health psychology and the psychological impact of physical trauma/injuries and living with a visible difference.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of clinical presentations, including anxiety associated with hospitalisation and surgery, post-traumatic stress disorder, and difficulties managing pain.
  • Work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist who leads the burns clinical psychology service and an Assistant Psychologist.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Completed (or due to complete) post-graduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration post-training).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
  • Ability to travel between the hospital campuses within the day.

Salary: £45,719 - £59,604 per annum (inclusive of London weighting). This estimate is based on national averages for a Clinical Psychologist in the UK.
