Clinical Health Psychologist for Burns and Plastic Surgery

The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Health Psychologist to join their renowned burns and plastic surgery service. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological care to patients and their families.
About the TrustThe Department of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at the trust incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology, and Child and Adult Neuropsychology. You will work across both hospital campuses: City Hospital (adult burns) and Queens Medical Centre (paediatric burns and plastic surgery).
Main Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies to patients with a range of clinical presentations, including acute emotional reactions, adjustment difficulties, and appearance-related concerns/distress related to scars.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members.
- Participate in research projects and contribute to the advancement of clinical psychology practice.
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
- Experience of teaching/training and developing educational programs for healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of research design and methodology, including both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Salary: £45,719 - £59,604 per annum (inclusive of London weighting). This estimate is based on national averages for a Clinical Psychologist in the UK.
