About the Role

The Educational Psychology Service in Nottingham is a highly regarded team, known for its innovative approach to supporting schools and the wider community. As an Educational Psychologist in this dynamic service, you will have the opportunity to apply psychology in creative and effective ways, making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in Nottingham City.

We use psychology to support inclusion, using approaches such as the Circle of Adults. Our psychologists are reflective practitioners who engage in creative problem-solving to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Nottingham City is a culturally vibrant and diverse city, reflected in its school population. We are co-located with specialist teaching teams, providing opportunities for collaboration across services. This role offers the chance to work in a warm and friendly team that values the contribution of all Educational Psychologists in shaping the service.

This post requires a DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity.

What You Will Do
  • Apply psychology in creative ways to support children and young people at both casework and systemic levels.
  • Work collaboratively with schools and other services to provide high-quality support.
  • Engage in reflective practice, using evidence-based approaches to inform your work.
Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Educational Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,756 (minimum Scale A4) plus up to 3 SPA points, depending on experience.
