About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and carrying out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement. You'll work with our fleet of vehicles, using your expertise to identify and fix faults, and ensuring our buses are safe and reliable for our passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
Working Shift Pattern
Alternating shifts, 4 in 3, with one weekend in three. You'll work from 21:00 to 07:00, with regular breaks and time off in between.
About You
- You'll have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification
- You'll have a flexible approach to working hours
- A PCV licence is desirable, but we'll help you obtain one if you don't already have it
- You'll have a valid UK driver's licence
- Experience of working with buses and coaches is an advantage
- You'll have vehicle/auto electrical experience/knowledge
