About the Role

As a Mechanic, you'll be part of our energetic team of Engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of vehicles. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and carrying out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults and specifying the correct method of repair and parts to be used
  • Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices
  • Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
  • Carrying out vehicle road testing to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

Working Shift Pattern

Our Mechanic will work an alternating shift pattern, 4 in 3, with one weekend in three. The working hours are 21:00 - 07:00.

About You

  • You'll have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification
  • You'll have a flexible approach to working hours
  • A PCV licence is desirable, but the ability to obtain one is essential (we'll support you in this)
  • You'll have a valid UK driver's licence
  • Experience working with buses and coaches is an advantage
  • You'll have vehicle/auto electrical experience or knowledge
