We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing leadership to the team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
- Provide leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services.
- Support the work of SEND, including completion of education, health, and care needs assessments and involvement in SENDIST appeal hearings as an expert witness.
- Supervise and mentor identified staff within the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
- Contribute to the wider work of the team, including initial assessment clinics, referral triage, and therapy sessions.
- Registered health care professional (HCPC registration) with a health-related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6.
- Evidence of specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice, including experience in managing health-related projects and complex caseloads.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the area of practice, with practical experience in managing health-related projects and complex caseloads.
- Ability to motivate and organize others to ensure best practice, manage and lead change, and work under pressure.
