About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing leadership to the team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
  • Provide leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, promoting innovation and excellence in speech and language therapy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care and effective partnership working.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with national and local guidelines.
Requirements
  • Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (1st Level Nurse/ NMC or Physiotherapist; Occupational Therapist; etc / HCPC)
  • Minimum of 4 years paediatric experience
  • In-depth and recent experience in a specialist clinical area
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead staff
  • Ability to develop and maintain inter-agency and inter-disciplinary links
