Speech and Language Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing leadership to the team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
- Provide leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective clinical services.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Work closely with other professionals, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and assistants, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contribute to the development of the team, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve services.
- Registered health care professional (HCPC registration)
- Health related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6
- Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice, including pre-verbal communication support, AAC, intensive interaction, language and speech therapeutic approaches, and dysfluency
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of practice, including managing health-related projects and complex caseloads
- Experience of leading and managing teams, including supervising and mentoring staff
