About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality therapy service to children aged 0-19 with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist therapy services to children with complex physical disabilities, developmental delays, and sensory processing difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Assistants, to deliver integrated therapy services.
  • Manage a complex and specialist clinical caseload, providing high-quality and cost-effective services to disabled children and their families.
  • Supervise and appraise Band 5 staff and/or Assistants/Key Workers within the team.

Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Have documented evidence of continued professional development and appropriate experience working as a clinician for a minimum of two years.
  • Have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as IT skills.
