About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Psychosis Support Coordinator. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis and other mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with service users on a 1:1 or group basis, providing peer support and practicing assistance to help them regain control over their lives and build connections with their local communities.
  • To act as a recover champion across mental health services pathways and ambassador of recovery for LWSW with external agencies and partner organisations.
  • To participate in the ongoing development of the PSW training programme and evaluate the PWP role.
  • To promote better mental health by acting as a suitable role model, sharing ideas about ways of achieving recovery goals, and assisting others to create their own recovery plans.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of using mental health services.
  • Previous care experience with people who have mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of mental health, awareness of safeguarding principles, and basic IT skills.
  • Good communication and listening skills, organisational skills, problem-solving skills, and an awareness of professional boundaries.
