We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Care Worker to join our team in Sutton Coldfield. As a Children's Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily lives of young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly environment in the home.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support for young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people.
  • Ensure the safety of young people and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of their care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred methods of communication.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a healthcare or social care setting is desirable.
  • A full driver's license is required as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 21.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
