We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.
About the Role:- Provide individualized support to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Encourage and enable young people to participate in activities, take responsibility for their own lives, and develop independence.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and homely environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all young people.
- Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner, while protecting the young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support young people in achieving their goals and aspirations, while promoting their independence and well-being.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable.
- Experience in a residential children's home environment is desirable.
- Full Driving Licence is essential, as you may be required to transport the children from time to time.
- A competitive salary of up to £27,849 (sleep allowance included).
