About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Lingfield, Surrey. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Your Daily Impact
- Creating a safe and encouraging learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
- Using personalized approaches to help students access learning, both one-to-one and in groups.
- Assisting tutors in delivering engaging lessons and tracking students' progress.
- Planning and coordinating exciting outings and day trips to enhance students' experiences.
- Supporting the smooth running of the College with essential administrative tasks.
About You
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting young people with special needs. If you possess the following qualities, we would love to hear from you:
- A strong desire to support children and young adults with special needs.
- Creativity in coming up with new ideas to engage students and promote learning.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, with funding provided if needed.
- Experience in a classroom setting, with a knack for tracking and recording students' progress.
- Ideally, knowledge of Autism, Epilepsy, and PMLD.

Our school and college is a leading national charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and related conditions. We are a non-maintained residential special school for 19-25-year-olds and an innovative college for adults with SEND. Many of our students have epilepsy, autism, and severe learning and communication difficulties.
