Overview:
The Head of Commercial Operations plays a pivotal role in supporting Allen Lane to achieve its strategic objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring the Commercial team is effective and compliant in delivering services to the business, providing solutions to complex procurement challenges, and enabling the organization to deliver its mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Department Management: Manage the Commercial Department, setting targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring the organization has the necessary resources, including training, development, and succession planning, to support operational delivery.
- Procurement and Commercial Issues: Handle all aspects of procurement and commercial issues within operational areas, supporting growth and development, while ensuring full legal compliance with Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the upcoming Procurement Act 2023.
- Commercial Procurement Strategy: Control the overall commercial procurement strategy, developing and implementing it as necessary to deliver key strategies that operate at Allen Lane. Ensure close liaison and compliance with relevant teams and requirements.
- Commercial Systems and Processes: Own, lead, maintain, and proactively improve commercial systems, protocols, templates, and procedures within the Procurement team.
- Commercial Advice: Provide commercial advice on all aspects of procurement and commercial contracts, taking full responsibility.
