About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at Aviva. As a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our claims case managers in absence management techniques, appropriate treatment pathways, functional considerations, and suitable workplace accommodations for various physical and mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and advise claims case managers on absence management techniques and suitable workplace accommodations.
  • Identify potential obstacles within a return-to-work process and advise on appropriate intervention and return to work plans.
  • Act as an advocate for the employee throughout the process, considering the Equality Act and balancing the needs of our customers and the commercial implications of each individual claim.
  • Take ownership of more complex cases to case manage a supportive return to work process for our clients.
Requirements
  • Efficient and timely problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data to identify trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to operate on multiple IT platforms and adapt to changes within a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • A vocational rehabilitation qualification or association membership is desirable, although not essential.
  • Previous experience working within a corporate and/or insurance setting is highly regarded.

  • Starting salary between £35,000 and £38,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
