About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our income protection claims department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our case managers in absence management techniques, treatment pathways, and workplace accommodations for various physical and mental health conditions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Coach and advise case managers on absence management techniques and suitable treatment pathways
  • Identify potential obstacles in the return-to-work process and develop intervention strategies
  • Act as an advocate for employees throughout the return-to-work process, balancing their needs with commercial implications
  • Take ownership of complex cases and manage a supportive return-to-work process for our clients
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate on multiple IT platforms and adapt to a fast-paced corporate environment
  • A vocational rehabilitation qualification or association membership (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience working in a corporate and/or insurance setting (highly regarded)
