Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients return to work after an injury or illness.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our claims case managers to provide expert advice on absence management techniques, appropriate treatment pathways, and suitable workplace accommodations for a variety of physical and mental health conditions.

You will be responsible for identifying potential obstacles within a return-to-work process and advising on appropriate intervention and return to work plans to overcome such barriers with the support of our multidisciplinary team.

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will act as an advocate for the employee throughout the process, always taking the Equality Act into consideration, while continuing to finely balance the needs of our customers and the commercial implications of each individual claim.

At times, you will be required to take ownership of more complex cases in order to case manage a supportive return to work process for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on absence management techniques and suitable workplace accommodations
  • Work closely with claims case managers to identify potential obstacles and develop return to work plans
  • Act as an advocate for the employee throughout the process
  • Take ownership of complex cases to case manage a supportive return to work process

What You'll Get:
