BestEx Research Group is a leading research firm in the EMEA region, seeking a seasoned professional to lead our institutional equities sales and business development efforts. As EMEA Institutional Equities Head, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our broker-dealer business, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with clients.
Salary: £180,000 - £250,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Broker-Dealer Business: Establish and manage the broker-dealer business, ensuring flawless execution of all operational initiatives including the development and execution of robust business strategies.
- Revenue Growth: Identify and cultivate business opportunities, driving outsized revenue growth across the EMEA region.
- Clients Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their needs and ensuring our solutions meet and exceed their expectations.
- Thought Leadership: Represent BestEx Research at industry events and in the media, showcasing our thought leadership in the space.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business activities adhere to FCA regulations, implementing robust governance frameworks and staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Product Strategies: Partner closely with our CEO, Global Head of Business Development, and Chief Product Officer to design and execute innovative product strategies and expansion opportunities.
- Sales Team: Recruit, train, and lead a high-caliber sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry and market structure trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to strategically position our offerings in the market.
- Board Role: Serve on the Board of Directors of the BestEx Research UK entity.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: 15+ years of experience with a proven track record in institutional equities sales and business development within the electronic trading or algorithmic trading space.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
- Business Acumen: A proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for driving business growth and operational excellence.
- Operational Frameworks: Demonstrated ability to establish and manage functional frameworks within a high-growth environment.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop meaningful and lasting relationships with clients and team members.
- Market Insight: Deep understanding of market structure, competitive landscape, industry trends, and regulatory environment in the EMEA region.
