Learning Disability Support Lead

About the Role:
Nurseplus is seeking an experienced Learning Disability Support Lead to join our team in Ashford.
The successful candidate will have a passion for care and experience working with individuals who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff rostering to ensure safe and effective delivery of care.
- Support care workers in managing challenging behaviour and creating care plans that promote positive outcomes.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, family members, and clients to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
- Supervise, motivate, and appraise care workers to ensure they have the confidence and skills to handle challenging situations.
- Handle safeguarding issues, incidents, and complaints in a solutions-focused manner.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving license is essential for supporting the team across Ashford.
- Experience in working with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy.
- Organised, calm under pressure, and capable of multitasking.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on teamwork and achieving high-quality care.
