About Our Client

Michael Page (UK) is seeking a highly skilled Finance Compliance Manager to join their Finance department on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will come from a FMCG or Manufacturing industry and will have previous experience in partnering with different business areas to create and streamline efficient Financial processes.

The role will involve ensuring all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and negotiate timelines for process improvement projects, focusing on development, implementation, and operation of new business processes.
  • Monitor post-implementation conformance with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Determine and streamline compliance and financial SOPs.
  • Advise on issues and risks that may arise as process implementation activities and improvements occur.
  • Set up tools for financial and accounting oversight and manage the implementation of those tools.
  • Execute risk assessments at various levels.
  • Test and identify non-compliance and re-scope controls based on findings and ensure rectification of the same.
  • Coordinate statutory accounting and reporting submissions.
  • Be a key point of contact on audits.
Requirements
  • Formally qualified (ACA, ACCA most likely)
  • Previous experience within FMCG or Manufacturing is desirable
  • A strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with documenting and flowcharting business processes, in particular finance processes.
  • Excellent overall IT experience in ERP systems and MS Office Packages.
