Histopathology Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to lead our Histopathology Department at King's Mill Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services and contributing to the development of our department.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Higher Specialist Biomedical Scientist. You will work closely with our staff to maintain strong collaborative ties with Nottingham University Hospitals and contribute to the Midlands and East 2 Pathology Network.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in Quality Management Systems, with previous section supervisor experience. A leadership course completion and audit training are desirable qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality laboratory services in Histopathology
  • Contribute to the development of our department
  • Maintain strong collaborative ties with Nottingham University Hospitals
Person Specification
  • State registration with the HCPC
  • FIBMS, MSc or other accredited postgraduate qualification specialized in Cellular Pathology
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to CPD opportunities and a supportive working environment.
