SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a Year 5 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 1:1 setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the pupil, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the pupil's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with the pupil's teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the pupil's social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly SEMH.
  • Strong knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
