The Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team and help us build, automate, and scale our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform, and Docker, and a passion for optimizing for cost and scale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive Taptap Send's infrastructure as code projects and architecture, improving and remediating to make IaaC more modular and maintainable.
  2. Assure effective integration between Taptap Send's cloud environment and core IT systems.

Requirements

  1. Hands-on cloud experience, especially in AWS. AWS certification preferred.
  2. Hands-on experience developing scalable, modular infrastructure as code projects using tools like Terraform, Cloudformation, and Ansible.
  3. Fundamental knowledge of cloud networking.
  4. Hands-on experience with Docker and container schedulers including AWS ECS & EKS, Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon, or Docker Enterprise.
  5. Familiarity with industry leading monitoring tools, like Datadog.
  6. Experience with hands-on software engineering as part of a larger team or project (open-source experience acceptable).
  7. Experience programming in Python. Other systems programming experience (examples: Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure) a plus.
  8. Experience administering or integrating with identity management systems for SSO, including AWS IAM, Okta, Active Directory.
  9. Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field.
